DAY 1: CASABLANCA
Arrival at Mohamed V airport transfer to the hotel in Casablanca,
Check in, visit of the Hassan-II Mosque erected by the sea then visit of the cornice of Aïn Diab
then a city tour, visit of the El-Hank lighthouse in the medina and the Mohamed V and United Nations squares.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
2ND DAY: CASABLANCA – RABAT (90KM)
Breakfast and departure for Rabat.
Administrative and political capital of the country, visit of the Hassan Tower,
then from the royal palace a break on the coffee of the oudaya, then visit of the casbah of the Oudaïa,
which dominates the Bou Regreg estuary.
Free lunch then continuation of the visit of the city,
this time on Chellah, ancient Roman city, then finish the visit on El Oulja,
Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight.
3RD DAY: RABAT – TANGIER (265 KM)
Breakfast, Departure to Tangier,
visit the archaeological site of Lixus visit the caves of hercules.
We will continue our journey to Tangier. Visit of the Bay of Tangier,
Free lunch then continuation of the discovery of the city,
visit to the former palace of Sultan Moulay Hafid,
tea break on the Alhafa café terrace built in 1929.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4TH DAY: TANGIER – TETOUANE – CHEFCHAOUNE (180 KM)
Breakfast, Departure to Tetouan,
white city located on the slopes of Djebel Dersa.
Visit of the medina of Tetouan to discover graceful Hispano-Moorish aspects with its souks,
its vaulted passageways, its squares full of charm lined with white houses.
Then continuation to Chefchaouen to browse the medina, free lunch.
Late afternoon free. Dinner and overnight in Chefchaouen.
5TH DAY: CHEFCHAOUNE – MEKNES (210 KM)
breakfast, departure to Meknes,
crossing the Rif mountains, Meknes the capital of the Alaouite sultan Moulay Ismaïl,
free lunch then a walk in the medina will lead you to the ramparts and
the Bab el Mansour gate at el Hedim square closed on one side by the Dar Jamaï palace,
which houses the Moroccan Art Museum, Agdal basin,
dug at the request of the sultan for irrigation
royal gardens finally visit the medersa Bou Inania.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6TH DAY: MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES (140 KM)
Breakfast, departure to the city of Fez,
visit of Volubilis. The opulence of this city, former capital of the Roman province of Mauretania Tingitana,
departure to Fez, free lunch, visit of Fez el Jedid.
Walk on the main street of old Mechouar to the Mellah,
the Jewish quarter, we can admire its three mosques:
the Jama el-Beida, the Jama el-Hamra and the Jama al-Azhar,
admire the typically Fasi costumes and everyday objects at the Dar Batha museum.
Dinner and overnight in Fez.
7TH DAY: FES (140 KM)
Capital of the Idrissids, Fez is one of the most beautiful cities in the Islamic world,
a veritable setting housing the most beautiful jewels of Hispano-Moorish art.
From the top of the ancient Merinid necropolis discern
its different neighborhoods and evoke its long history.
In Fez el-Bali, craftsmen are still grouped by districts.
This walk will take us from the Andalous district,
by that of the tanners, in the district of Karaouyine.
After free lunch, we will visit the Attarine souk where we will see, among other things,
the el-Attarin medersa, built in the 14th century.
We will also see the very large El Qara-wiyyin mosque.
and visit the zaouia of Moulay Idriss,
true sanctuary of Fez.
Dinner and overnight in Fez.
8TH DAY: FES – ERFOUD (380 KM)
Breakfast and departure to Efroud,
Break on the Ziz valley, Arrival in Erfoud, check in at the hotel, lunch on site,
after change of 4*4 vehicle and departure to Merzouga
to watch the sunset in the dunes of the Sahara on the back of a camel
to savor all the magic of the great South.
Dinner included with entertainment. Return to Erfoud by 4*4 overnight at the hotel.
9TH DAY: ERFOUD – RISSANI – Z AG ORA (370 KM)
Breakfast, Departure to Rissani
visit of the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the ksar Abbar, a fine example of architecture
of land in the deep South. After lunch, departure to Zagora,
which was a junction point between the great trans-Saharan caravan routes and which occupies
since the Almoravids this same function of crossroads between the world of the desert
and that of the rich valleys of the Atlas.
Dinner included. Overnight in Zagora.
10TH DAY: ZAGORA – OUARZAZATE (155 KM)
Breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate
on the road to the Draa Valley, dotted with ksour, which dominate sumptuous landscapes,
to Ouarzazate. Free lunch. Visit of the cinema studio, (if there is no filming)
After visiting the kasbah of Aït-Benhaddou, a superb theatrical setting as if
sands and ocher soils, that of the Kasbah of Taourirt, erected at the gates of the city,
will give us the opportunity to discuss the French protectorate and the role of the Glaoui,
pasha of Marrakech, who had one of his favorite residences there.
Dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
11TH DAY: OUARZAZATE – TAROUDANT – AGADI R (350 KM)
Breakfast, departure to Taroudant,
capital of the Saadian dynasty from 1520 to 1541, Taroudant is today an important market.
Walk around the ramparts before strolling through the bustling souks.
After free lunch, departure to Agadir which we will discover during a quick tour of the city,
completely rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
12TH DAY: AGADIR – ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH (350 KM)
Breakfast, Departure to Essaouira
while following the Atlantic coast, we will reach Essaouira,
the old Mogador of the Portuguese, has kept all the charm of yesteryear:
the port, the ramparts, the sqala (former arsenal) of the kasbah,
the streets where there are so many stalls that we will discover
s during a long walk...
free lunch then at the end of the afternoon,
we will take the road to Marrakech.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 13: MARRAKECH
After breakfast
start the visit of the Berber capital of the south, visit of the Majorelle gardens,
visit of the Koutoubia minaret, a true symbol of the city, then visit of the Ben Youssef medersa
school of Koranic theology founded in the 14th century then rebuilt by the Saadians.
We will then discover the tombs of the Saadian princes and the El-Badi palace,
built in the 16th century by Sultan Moulay Ahmed el-Mansour. We will discover the Bahia Palace,
erected in the last century by Si Moussa.
After lunch included,
we will visit the Dar Si Saïd, a charming little 19th century palace
which houses the Moroccan Art Museum.
Free lunch, then free time on the Jemaa el-Fna square with its extraordinary animation.
Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
14TH DAY: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA (230 KM)
After breakfast,
departure to Oukaimeden, break on Ourika,
then continuation to the main ski resort
free lunch on site, then departure to Casablanca
check in, free evening then dinner & overnight at the hotel.
15TH DAY: CASABLANCA - AIRPORT
Transfer to Casablanca airport according to flight schedules.
